At the same time of the laparoscopy or done as a separate operation this procedure is done under a full general anaesthetic in the theatre. A special instrument called a hysteroscope is used to look inside the uterus. It allows your doctor to isolate small tumours called fibroids, polyps or scar tissue in the uterus. This procedure involves no incisions, on it own it is very quick. Your doctor will remove anything in the uterus that is abnormal and that is probably preventing you from falling pregnant.
